Makcik PC
Bagi merapatkan jurang digital, syarikat MIMOS Berhad telah memperkenalkan sebuah komputer peribadi yang diberi nama Makcik PC. Dengan terciptanya komputer tablet ini, diharap supaya ia boleh memberi manfaat bukan sahaja kepada golongan muda malah kepada semua lapisan masyarakat.

Tak tahu lah kenapa nak pakai nama “makcik pc”.
Macam mana nak global dengan nama macam tu. Tak Glamour Langsung. Lepas tengon news, cari info kat internet hampeh, satu berita pun tak ada. MIMOS tak buat kerja !!! Nak Launch pun siapkan la press release kat internet … GAGAL !!
Pak Lah pun lupa nama tu masa nak launch.
Patut bangga, tapi tak bangga dah…
wtf!.. there is no information in mimos website.. such a stupid/lazy mimos staff… how come no one in mimos trying to put 1 picture in internet?..
I have also tried to dig through their website, but still couldn’t find any sign of Makcik PC. At last I got one from lowyat.net… almost looks like a tablet PC.
damn you MIMOS, why makcik? Better you put Beruk PC!

After searching the interweb far and wide, I can only come to one conclusion, they don’t have a working product.
What they have is pre-prototype concept, pretty much a prop with some ideas of how it should work, and made to look like it’s working.
Companies do that all the time. Publicity to generate interest and hype, and use that to draw invesment in developing the final commersial-ready product.
enough with the bashing. what’s the specs for those tablets?
I don’t have details on that spec yet.

yup, it’s just a prototype,and that’s why they don’t put it in their website or any others, maybe they just afraid it will not be completed hahaha(in a simple meaning…they not confident with this product)
At least, Malaysia has its own product. As Malaysian, I am tired of using other countries’ product. Malaysians have been good consumers but not good producers. What’s the point of being proud using hp, apple, compact, dell and etc. when all these are not being made by our people.
ala kalau dah nama produk malaysia..indah khabar dari rupa..sama cam kereta la…pakai 2 bulan ada la prob nanti..

‘Mokcik PC’ - Dengar nama je aku dah rasa tak confident n x tertarik langsung..Ape jenis marketing aa yg mimos pakai..konon2 Malaysia abis la nama tu..daripada bazir beli murah tp tak reliable, baik beli brand yg dah established..
takat pakai sebagai calculator buleh la kot aku rasa.
i encounter the same old problem to search - but I must agree the company trying to create a media sensation for future investment & no doubt the governemnt back it up but no detail of futher on.
Very disappointed….after I submit enquiry at the website but no news till date.

x baik komen sampai mcm tu skali. check dulu apa reason dorang bg nama ‘makcik’. lagipun apanya yg x glamour? cuba fkr, knpa kita nak sungguh2 letak nama produk kita guna bhsa asing? org amerika cnthnya, ada x drg ltk produk dorang nama ‘makcik’, aisyah’ atau pak mat? then why would us?
makcik pc tu cuma codename, nama sbnrnya cyberwind..
